Love the ad! I’ve seen it many times before, but it’s always entertaining for being so Italian and ‘50’s :P
I’ll still have either a FIAT 126 or a classic 500 in my garage someday!

I want a 500 so bad, with a synchronised gearbox and motor from a 126 for the power.

Exactly the same as me - I’d do the 126 engine/trans swap as well, and possibly a disc brake conversion for a bit more safety! The downside is that the 500 has shot up in price...that’s why I’m seriously considering importing a 126 from Poland instead...almost the same unique experience, just a different body design. You could get one in pretty decent shape for like $3500 all-told imported to Canada with the exchange rate :) .
Borsuq’s post series has especially made the little boxes grow on me! :)
